For a luxury beach holiday you can visit the elongated peninsula of Thailand. Honeymoon destination number 1 for many in Thailand.

You can choose from larger and more famous beach destinations, such as Phuket and Krabi on the east coast. Or Koh Samui and Koh Samet on the west coast.

For a quieter honeymoon, you travel to one of the smaller and more remote islands, such as Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lanta or Koh Racha, all on the east coast of Thailand.

In Krabi you can spend your honeymoon in the Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort – a wonderful luxury resort that also has a private beach where you can sail for an unique quiet beach experience. Let the honeymoon begin soon!

Koh Samui on the other hand has the Chaweng Regent Beach Resort, a wonderful luxury resort that is rated very well. Directly on the beach and within walking distance of the center. A honeymoon with beautiful weather, luxurious amenities and of course the love that is in the air!

Do you rather spend your honeymoon in Phuket? In this case the Kamala Beach Resort will make your dreams come true. It is located directly on the beach, luxurious facilities and beautiful surroundings…

Visit cities during your honeymoon in Thailand

The two main cities of Thailand are Bangkok, on the south coast of the mainland, and Chiang Mai, in the north towards the border with Laos and Myanmar. Actually, you have to experience both during your honeymoon to experience the difference.

Bangkok is a nice busy metropolis where you can spend a few days. There are many authentic sights, such as the floating markets and the many temples.

At the same time Bangkok is also a modern city with good public transport. Bangkok is located in the south of the mainland of Thailand which makes it easy to travel to one of the beach destinations on the southern peninsula. A trip to the famous (or infamous) ‘Bridge over the River Kwai’ is also possible.

Chiang Mai used to be the capital of northern Thailand, when this was still the kingdom of Lanna. The city is a lot smaller and quieter than Bangkok and has very beautiful temples from the Lanna time.

From Chiang Mai you can make excellent trips in the interior of Thailand. Don’t forget to visit Mae Hong Son and Padong for its authentic population, rivers and waterfalls.

You can ride on the back of an elephant to Padong and meet the ‘Giraffe women‘ (who are called so because they make their necks very long with copper rings).
